REITs

Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) are financial products that provide investors the opportunity to invest in various types of real estate. Investors essentially place their money with the trust (the asset holders) and received returns deriving from the income-producing assets in the trust. While some REITs are publicly-traded and solid investments, some pose problems for investors because they are non-traded and illiquid. This means they are complex and inappropriate for the average investor. Additionally, many REITs have displayed poor results in comparison with the overall market. This is a forum specifically dedicated to REITs. Investors can learn and protect themselves before jumping into the complex world of REITs.
